In this final half term, children will be moved around to support their developing knowledge and progress in Phonics. We will continue to have three groups but there will be a mixture of levels 2 to 4 being taught in all three groups. There will be a greater focus on writing over the coming weeks that will demonstrate the children's recognition of phonemes and graphemes, and they will have many opportunities to write independently in the continuous provision. We will continue to regularly assess reading and letter recognition, and plug the gaps that we identify in preparation for the children's transition to Year 1.
