We are excited to embark on a new and transformative project that will greatly benefit our children, their families, and our wider community. We are aiming to build a brand new enclosure over and around our swimming pool next year, and we need your support to make it happen.

Why We Need Your Help:

Currently, our swimming pool is only available for use during the warmer months, limiting its potential to provide essential swim education, recreation, and fitness opportunities for our pupils and the community. As we all know, swimming is a life-saving skill and one that promotes health, well-being, and fitness. However, without an enclosure, our pool is closed during the colder months, preventing many from enjoying its benefits year-round and significantly limiting access to a valuable resource we are lucky to still have.

With your generous support, we hope to raise funds to build a modern, durable enclosure that will allow our pool to be used throughout the entire year. This will not only ensure that our students have year round access to swimming lessons, but will also open the door for the local community to enjoy the pool facilities year-round.  In addition, it will provide opportunities for after school swimming lessons, offering local sessions without the need to travel.

The Benefits of the Enclosure:

• Year-Round Access: Our pupils will have uninterrupted access to swimming lessons and aquatic sports, regardless of the weather.
• Community Use: The pool will be available for use by local families, senior citizens, and community groups, fostering health, wellness, and social engagement in our area.
• Improved Health and Wellbeing: Swimming is a fantastic form of exercise that promotes fitness, muscle development, and mental wellbeing, and this enclosure will ensure it’s accessible all year long.
• Energy Efficiency: The new enclosure will also help us manage heating costs, creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly facility for everyone.
• Use by other local schools: Currently other local schools need to travel some distance in order for their children to undertake swimming lessons. Using our pool all year round would allow us to offer sessions to other local schools.
• Generating revenue for the school: The pool will become a source of income for the school meaning that more funds will be available to enhance the children’s education.

How You Can Help:

We have an ambitious goal to raise £200,000 to fund this project, and we are reaching out to members of our community—like you—who we hope see the value of this project and benefits it brings to not only the pupils, but the wider community both now and for many years to come. We are hoping to start this project in Summer 2025, ready to be used for the 2025-26 academic year but this is dependent on raising enough funds. We are seeking donations of any size, and your support will directly contribute to:

• Construction and Materials: To create a secure, weatherproof, and sustainable enclosure.
• Energy-Efficient Heating: Ensuring the pool is usable in all seasons while minimizing operational costs.
• Ongoing Maintenance: To keep the facility in top condition for years to come.

• Make a One-Time Donation: Any amount will help us reach our goal, and no contribution is too small.  
• Become a Sponsor: You can sponsor a specific aspect of the project, such as the roof, pool heating, or community access programs.
• Donate In-Kind: If you are able to provide materials or services related to the construction, we would greatly appreciate your support.
• Spread the Word: Share this campaign with friends, family, your workplace and colleagues who may be interested in supporting a good cause. 
• Matched funding: If you work for a company who offers matched funding or grants, please let us know.
