I Have a Concern
Stokenchurch Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expects all staff, governors, volunteers and parents to share this commitment. Safeguarding in schools is essential for keeping children safe and there is nothing more important to us than the wellbeing, safety and physical, emotional and mental health of our pupils.
If you have any concerns about a child, you can contact or speak to your child’s class teacher after school; speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team, or contact our Safeguarding Lead.
All staff will always listen to concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a child.
You are also able to report a concern to the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP) or alternatively, if you want to discuss any concerns or report a concern anonymously, you can contact the First Response Team on 01296 383962 between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. If you need an urgent response outside of these hours, contact the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on 0800 999 7677. If you think a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
A safeguarding concern is anything that makes you feel worried or uncomfortable about a child and their safety or well-being. You could be concerned that a child may be at risk of harm or at risk of harming another. This would include the risk of radicalisation, sexual or criminal exploitation, domestic violence and any other form of child abuse (emotional, physical, neglect or sexual). It also includes self-harm or the use of drugs/alcohol.
