Thursday 20th June
Well, what a beautiful day for a beach walk! We have wandered over the beach searching for a range of items, including Isle of Wight Blue, which may be gracing a window sill near you in the very near future. The children have transported various items back and some of our chalets now look quite charming!
We have had another magnificent day. The children have eaten well, although a national shortage of cucumber may be announced soon as we appear to be able to consume enormous quantities of it! The children have also slept well and are supporting each other to deal with any small bouts of homesickness (they are all getting very excited to see you and share all of their news).
In our activities on Wednesday, we have conquered the climbing wall, bounced our legs off in aeroball (Finley Br and Alyssa scoring the highest number of hoops) and discovered a few secret Katniss / Robin Hoods in archery. with Amber, Tilly and Aspen leading the pack. More of the children also took part in Abseiling with Zak encouraging Mario jumps on the way down! Apparently, abseiling is easy!
Last night, we took part in a quiz that we had to try and keep our share of fake money for the longest time possible, with many heated discussions about where to place our answers!
The visit to the shop was very successful and the children were actively applying their maths skills to ensure that they spent every last penny that they could!
The photos (of which we have many more that we will share on our return) speak louder than words of the lovely smiley, sunshiney faces and the brilliant time they are having. The sun is shining again today and we will be out on the water dragon boating together and then in the shade of the woods for laser tag. The first groups will also be on the zip wire, which we have been looking forward to from the first day.
Room inspections and breakfast are calling (hash browns here we come!).....
